When it comes to substance use monitoring, street drugs laced with fentanyl pose a real testing challenge. Positive Fentanyl screening results can have a high rate of unconfirmed positives, in part because of the constant changes illicit labs make to fentanyl formulations. The expanded panel includes 16 different fentanyl analogs, including carfentanil. Because original fentanyl and synthetic (street) fentanyl is so potent, the confirmation reporting cutoff to will drop to 1 ng/mL.

do you ever wonder if a client's positive THC result is from them taking CBD?
averhealth's lab added a Cannabidiol (CBD) confirmation test for some medical marijuana prescriptions containing cannabidiol and cannabinol (CBN). This new test is a supplemental test and is not part of the standard THC confirmation panel.
The CBD confirmation test is ideal when it's important to know if a patient's positive Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) confirmation is a result of CBD use. THC is the main psychoactive constituent of cannabis. If a client is positive for both THC and CBD, then the THC positive test result may be due to consuming CBD. If the client is only positive for THC and CBD is negative, they are using THC.
